Mewtwo is a Legendary Pokemon that is a clone from the Mythical Legendary Pokemon, Mew. For some reason Mewtwo comes before Mew in the Pokedex even though Mew came before Mewtwo. Mewtwo was cloned from Mew's DNA by a scientist working for Giovanni and meant to have four clones. Bulbasaurtwo, Charmandertwo, Squirtletwo, and he tried to bring his daughter, Amber, back to life after her death and tried to bring her soul back, but failed. Mewtwo was the only Pokemon to survive the cloning process. Mewtwo destroyed the scientist's lab and every one of his workers and himself were killed. (Not Mewtwo. The scientist.) Mewtwo has appeared in four anime movies. Pokemon: The First Movie, Pokemon: Mewtwo Returns, Pokemon: The Movie Genesect and the Legend Awakened, Pokemon: Mewtwo Prologue to Awakening and also appeared in one short movie. He appeared in the short movie The Uncut Story of Mewtwo's Origin. It was the short movie for Pokemon: Mewtwo Returns. Mewtwo has appeared in the seventeenth movie, Pokemon: The Movie Genesect and the Legend Awakened. The movie has already been released in Japan. The movie was released on October twelfth, 2013. It was not in theaters in the US, but was in theaters in Japan. Mewtwo was in the special movie also called Pokemon: Mewtwo Prologue to Awakening. The special movie was a prequel to the movie, Pokemon: The Movie Genesect and the Legend Awakened. The special movie was released on January 11, 2014.
